BEST EVER! from Austin, TX
I used this product when I lived in Texas. The flies were absolutely relentless, to the point where fly sheets, boots and masks were not helping. I gave this a try (I bought two) and they started working INSTANTLY. Flys started immediately swarming right into the container. The only downside to using this is that you have to clean out the nasty dead flies (and they WILL fill up the whole bucket). Seriously, if you have a fly problem, here is your answer!!

Side-by-side traps -- this is FAR better -- even where more flies went into the other traps, they also escaped out of other traps, so the "kill" rate for these was MUCH better.
They work much, much better on the ground, near water/damp soil. The trick is that if the flies don't like where the trap is in a day, move it. I found that if you can stand the smell, "fly soup" works as the best bait (empty part of the flies, add more water. if you are hard-core, strain out the flies & put liquid back in -- this requires a strong stomach and a poor sense of smell -- I was actually a professional fly trapper and it's hard for me). If you have a trap that stops working, clean thoroughly between batches if (USE GLOVES!!!!!), since sometimes algae will grow in the trap & repel the flies. The Victor bait really is good, Starbar is cheaper, & once the flies start going it doesn't matter which bait you started with.

I cannot believe how many flies these jars catch. I don't enjoy emptying them, but I hate the flies worse. I don't use but about half an ounce of the attractant, so these are very cheap to use.

We bought 2 of these containers and put the expectorant in it, they catch so many flies in a day. It says however to put it in the sun, I've found that does not work, it works better to put in my breezeway in the shade and put them on the opposite end of the mare barn where my horses are. There are still flies but I know we are catching at least 25% of them and every little bit helps, I wish someone could tell me what really works for flies because i hate putting on fly sheets and fly spray on my horses every day of the summer, and they love my little paint mares legs and neck every year.

I tried three different brands/styles and this worked BY FAR the best. It caught hundreds of flies, highly recommend.
