I fed this to my Paint mare when she was 3 years old and in training. She looked beautiful. Recently, my 4 year old Paint gelding has become quite the hard keeper. He's never been super interested in eating up all his food. I've given him the Focus WT for the last month and he looks fabulous! Everyone is always commenting on how shiney he looks too:) Would reccomend this product for sure!

I have a 28 year old Walking Horse gelding. Tall and lean compared to the barrel thickness of my Quarter Horse but always an easy keeper for over 20 years until about 2 years ago. Had a very long winter that year and I just couldn't keep the weight on him. He never really gained it back. Had that sunken in look around the hips/lower back and you could lighty see his ribs. He gained a little back over the next summer but even putting him on senior feed, a weight builder like bodybuilder, extra hay in winter and pasture in summer just wasn't helping alot. I knew it had to be digesive even though I kept his teeth as best could be for his age. I tried a lot of suppliments but none really helped. Always trying something new, I tried a small bucket of this from the feed store for a month - one scoop along with the weight builder power mixed in with his feed and in three weeks I could see the difference. Just little things like better coat and some filling out in the hips. It's been about 2 and 1/2 months now and he hasn't looked this good in two years. His hips are nearly back to normal and the ribs are not showing and he's getting a belly. It's not happened over night but a steady slow progress and he's got more energy now. It is a bit of an unusual powder and smell but my boy has always eaten almost anything and took to it right away. Couldn't be more pleased and the expense is in line with most other suppliments so is well worth a try for a horse iwth weight issues.

I've used Source products for years. Last year was actually the first time I bought the Weight Formula. I bought a 10 year racking horse from a couple who rescued her from a sale barn for $50.00. She was very thin and they had not gotten much weight on her in the six months or so they had her. I went through two small containers of Focus Wt. and saw a remarkable difference in her. Not only did she put on weight but it looked as if she put on a brand new coat. Her coat was soft and shiny and she definitely had more energy. I still continue to use Source products as I have a horse on Focus Hoof and a 25 year old on the Senior Formula.

I put my 22 year old TB on Source Focus WT about 6 months ago. His weight was ok and he was doing fine but I always worry about him in the winter because he doesn't have even a spare ounce of fat. I love the results from giving him the Focus WT. He has really filled in over his butt and in his neck, and even a little in his back and in front of the girth. I didn't change his food, just added the Focus WT.
The only warning I have for other buyer is that you should slowly introduce this prodcut. It has a weird odor to it and my horse rejected it initially because he didn't like the smell. He is a picky eater though,so no shock there. I increased the dose slowly and eventually he adjusted to it.

I bought this after my 2yr old TB got sick over the summer he lost a good deal of weight and was still growing at the same time so I wanted to give him some help.
it took about 3 days to see a difference in him but it was a difference it wasn't weight gain but he was back to nickering at feeding time and more full of life and energy. After that he gained a little but he is still growing so for it to really work I had to wait for him to stop growing for a bit and then the pounds started coming back now he looks great!

I bought the small size to give it a try on a 30 year old gelding who was already getting Purina Senior Pro, had his teeth floated to ensure he could get the nutrients from the hay, etc. I had about given up hope because he had been on other suppliments to gain weight. But, I have seen a change in him in just three weeks. His eyes sparkle again, he is getting back his attitude instead of just ploding along and he skin is better. He has gained a little weight and I hope that he will continue. So far, I give this product a thumbs up.

I have had my thoroughbred for about a year and a half. I put her on a bunch of weight builders and changed her feed, with breaks in between to make sure that one hadn't started to work within the 8 week window your suppose to use and this is what got the weight on my mare and she kept it on. Before that I considered selling her because there was no way I could show her being so skinny, but this worked great and I plan to show her this summer. I actually only needed to use it for one month and it was put on and kept on, now I use it every other month and it is awesome. I recommend it for anyone to use on a hard keeper.

I have a 26 yr old Fox Trotter gelding. Last year he started losing weight, to the point that his saddle was rubbing his withers which has never been a problem with him. He has been taking this product for 3 months now. He has now put on enough weight that the saddle didnt rub at all last time we went out riding. I was very impressed that it worked so well.

Very good product. I have used this weight builder with my 6yr old Standardbred gelding who is a hard keeper. Of all the products and supplements I have tried to help him gain weight this is the only one that has worked.

My 28 year old mare suffers from chronic foot degeneration and has been on 4 grams of bute per day which gave her diarrhea. The digestive enzymes etc. in Focus made it possible to continue giving the bute without these digestive problems.

This is a GREAT product, i saw results within a few days when i started using it. If it is not "working" you should examine what else your feeding the horse.

I have been using Focus Weight Gain on my 7 yr old TB mare since February and she has been looking great since May. When I got her off the track, you could easily count her ribs, and almost every ridge of her back bone. Since using Focus, she has filled out, her coat is smooth & shiny and there is a very noticable difference in her hoof growth. She is a cribber & weaver, but in the last 2 months Ive been able to reduce her grain intake and she is keeping the weight on as well as has reduced her cribbing. Whether the reduced cribbing is a direct result of the Focus WT or not, I cant say. But Im keeping her on the Focus no matter what.

This product has worked wonders for my 20yo QH. This horse has always been a very hard keeper and I have tried more expensive fat based supplements without success. For those saying this product does not work, I recommend you look at the rest of your horse's diet; a supplement, no matter how good, will not make up for a generally poor diet.

I'm nearly through my first package of this stuff and I really don't see much of a difference. My horse was recently given a clean bill of health from my vet, so I'm not sure why this formula isn't working. I know other people have had success with it, so maybe it just doesn't jibe with my horse body chemistry or something.
