I got this one because most of the reviews were good. My horses wouldn't touch it; even flipped the grain bin over. After a call to the vet, the Equus brand (licorice flavored) was recommended.... they ate it right out of my hand! will never buy this brand or any other than Equus again!!

I live in sand country and have had many vet calls for sand colic over the years. I tried every product on the market but my 10 horses simply would not eat it.
This is the only product they will. It works and much cheaper then one vet call.

My two mares like this one better than other sand colic preventatives.

After my son's horses' colic surgery, he coliced on a monthly basis. The vet tech suggested to give this on a daily basis. I give a scoop daily and have had no further colic episodes going on 6 months. I have used other treatments that were much more expensive and much less effective. My other horses get this as directed at the first of the month.

Very palatable, my mare loved it, but it didn't last as long as I thought it would. I thought I would get a lot out of a 5 lb bucket but the scoop it comes with is huge and it runs out fast. I'm not exactly sure if it gets the job done...my mare's poop wasn't as soft as the other horses in the barn, who use a dif brand. A long story short...I'm buying a different product next time.
